SHIP's CREST solid bronze on solid walnut wood plaque
DESCRIPTION This is a large crest standing a foot tall with a good heft to it. 6 1/2" wide 8 1/2" high solid bronze on a solid walnut plaque 12"X9" crest condition excellent wood plaque condition good but showing minor sun damage and minor scuffs (furniture polish or varnish req'd we prefer to ship in original as found condition due to collectors preferences. Likely age late 1980's . Made by Champion Ornamental Castings Cleveland Ohio. One only. An excellent artifact of USS BUNKER HILL. Excellent for your collection, family history or as a gift. Looks very impressive on any wall in your office or home.
This type of solid bronze crest is usually not available to the general public simply because of the cost. Less expensive crests are available in lighter, less expensive materials and so this one is a real keeper! Usually a crest like this would be presented to a city or perhaps another Navy working with the ship or for very special occasions.
